AI Terms

Transparency about the use of artificial intelligence on Dr. Victor Batistela's website: where it is used, what it does not do and how human oversight works.

CRM-PR 35044 · RQE 30580 (Brazilian medical registration)

Artificial intelligence (AI) tools are part of how many websites are produced today. We believe that anyone who arrives at drvictorbatistela.com.br with a diagnosis in hand deserves to know exactly where these tools come in, where they do not, and who is accountable for what is published. This page exists for that purpose.

1. Where AI is used on this website

AI tools may be used, in a limited way and always under human control, at the following stages:

  • Support in writing educational content: organizing drafts, suggesting structure and reviewing the language of the texts about treatments and of the articles. All clinical text is reviewed, corrected when necessary and signed by the physician before publication.
  • Technical image processing: resolution adjustment (upscaling), cropping and background removal of real photographs, without altering what they show.
  • Customer-service assistant, if and when one exists: a tool for triaging administrative questions (hours, address, how to schedule) may use AI. In that case, it will be clearly identified as automated and will never answer clinical questions.

2. What AI does not do

No AI tool used on this website, or on the channels linked to it:

  • diagnoses health conditions or interprets exams, symptoms or medical reports;
  • recommends treatment, medication, procedures or clinical conduct for anyone;
  • replaces the appointment or the in-person evaluation with the physician;
  • decides on surgery, eligibility for a procedure or the use of a particular technology.

These decisions always belong to the physician, together with the patient, after an individual evaluation. If any page or automated message appears to suggest otherwise, it is an error, and we ask that you let us know through the channel indicated at the end of this page.

3. Human oversight

All clinical information published on this website is reviewed by Dr. Victor Batistela, neurosurgeon, CRM-PR 35044 · RQE 30580 (Brazilian medical registration), who is technically responsible for the content. Every treatment page and every article carries authorship, publication date and review date, so that you know when that text was last read by the person who signs it.

AI tools do not publish anything on their own on this website. They are instruments that support the team; the decision about what is published, how and when is always human.

4. Images

  • No AI-generated image depicts the physician, patients, real procedures, the team or the clinic. The photographs of Dr. Victor Batistela and of the care facilities are real and were produced with authorization.
  • Stock images, used in illustrative sections (anatomy, exams, equipment, generic settings), are licensed and identified as such on the website. They do not show patients of the practice or surgeries performed by the physician.
  • Technical processing of photographs (resolution, cropping, background) does not alter the recorded scene. We do not publish “before and after” images.

5. Data

No health data sent through the contact channels — form, WhatsApp, phone or e-mail — is processed by AI tools without your express consent. Messages are read and handled by the clinic's team, solely to respond to your request and organize scheduling.

The processing of personal data follows the LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, Brazilian data protection law — Law No. 13,709/2018) and is described in detail in our Privacy Policy, including what data we collect, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights as a data subject.

6. How to report an error or request a correction

If you find information that is incorrect, outdated or appears to have been generated without review, write to contato@drvictorbatistela.com.br, indicating the page and the passage. Every request is read by the team and forwarded to the responsible physician; necessary corrections are published with an updated review date.

These terms complement the Terms of Use and may be updated as the tools used change. The date of the current version appears at the top of the page.
